Exhibition: "Mom I don't want war" War in a Child's Eyes

The exhibition is a result of Polish-Ukrainian archival co-operation. It presents historical drawings by Polish children from 1946 and contemporary drawings by Ukrainian children. The drawings record children’s experiences during World War II and the current war following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The Ukrainian drawings are collected on the Mom, I See War portal linked here.

The launch of the exhibition will include introductory remarks by

  • Dr Katarzyna Williams, Deputy Director, ANU Centre for European Studies
  • Ms Agata Utnicka, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Poland
  • H.E. Mr Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Ambassador of Ukraine

Light refreshment will be served at the conclusion of the event.

This event is part of the ANUCES Jean Monnet project Remembering Across Continents. The project aims to advance understanding of the role of collective remembrance and memory construction in building political communities.

This event was featured in an article in ASPI's the Strategist, linked here.
